Of the numerous
favors of Allah on His slaves, His greatest favor is the chain of
Prophets that He sent to them for their guidance. One of them was always
commissioned as Prophet whenever they were in need of a guide.
The chain of Prophets
continued for thousands of years culminating in the person of Muhammad (S.A.W.A.S) as the Seal of Prophets and the Last of Messengers. He brought the
final and perfect teaching that should suffice till the end of time.
| Supplication of Prophet Ibrahim & Isma’il while constructing
Ka’bah: - |
“Our Lord! Make us both
submissive to you, and (make) of our
progeny as well, a people submissive to you, and show our
ways of pilgrimage and accept our repentance, indeed you,
and you alone – are the most relenting, the very merciful. And
our Lord, raise in their midst a messenger from among them, who should teach the
Book and the wisdom, and cleanse them of all impurities. Indeed you and you
alone, are the all – mighty all wise.” (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2/128-129) |
Prophecy of Coming of
Rasulullah:
-
Torah:
|
“Behold
my servant, whom I uphold; Mine elect, in whom My soul
delighteth; I have put My Spirit upon him, he shall bring forth
judgment to the Gentiles. He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause
his voice to be heard in the street. A bruised reed shall he not
break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench, he shall bring
forth judgment unto truth. He shall not fail nor be discouraged,
till he have set judgment in the earth; and the isles shall wait
for his law”.
(Isaiah,
42/1-4)
|
Old
Testament:
|
“He
shined forth from Mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of
saints; and from his right hand went a Fiery Law for them.”
(Deuteronomy,
33/2)
“I
will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto
thee, and will put My Words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto
them all that I shall command him.”
(Ibid,
18/18)
|
New
Testament:
|
“And
I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the
Everlasting Gospel to preach unto them that dwell on to
earth, and to every nation, and kindred; and tongue, and people.”
(Revelation,
14/6)
“And
I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another comforter,
that he may abide with you forever.”
(John,
14/16)
“But
when the comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the
Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the
Father, he shall testify of me.”
(John,
15/26)
“Nevertheless
I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away, for
if I go not away, the comforter will not come unto you; but if I
depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will
reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.”
(John,
16/7-8)
“Howbeit
when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all
truth, for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall
hear, that shall he speak; and he will show you things to come. He
shall glorify me, for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it
unto you.”
(John,
16/13-14)

Gospel
Of Barnabas:
|
Barnabas
records the following answer by Jesus Christ to the -
question of a priest relating to coming of
Prophet Muhammad, Jesus said:
“The
name of ‘Messiah’ (Prophet) is admirable, for God Himself gave
him the name when He had created his soul, and placed it in a
celestial splendor. God said: wait Muhammad; for thy sake I will
to create Paradise, the world, and great multitude of creatures,
whereof I make thee a present, in so much that whoso shall bless
thee shall be blessed, and whoso shall curse thee shall be
accursed. When I shall send thee into the world, I shall send thee
as My Messenger of ‘salvation’, and thy word shall be true, in
so much that heaven and earth shall fail, but thy faith shall
never fail. Muhammad is his blessed name.”
(The
Gospel of Barnabas, “The Name of the Messiah”, p.123)
